Dogfighting died around Vietnam.. Really.. Korean War.. The true essence of REAL Dog Fighting was in WWII... No computers.. No help.. You live, die, kill or get spattered.. There is NO MORE "Air to Air" combat.. Our air warfare doctrine is all about every fighter, well beyond the horizon, seeing iwhat ONE stealth fighter sees, and locks onto that target... With them completely blind... Us humans are truly the weakest link in modern day fighters.. Forget the 9ish G average grey/blackout... Modern airframes can easily pull 20+ Gs autonomously.. Wave bye bye to humans in military attack aircraft... It's the last generation now...

7:22 love the Darkstar mockup but those air intakes are ridiculously large and would create many times the drag of the rest of the airframe. Guessing they did this because the movie going public would associate large intakes with BIG engines and speed, but it's not as simple as that.

well in my personal perspective i think the Mig-29 despite of its age are still some plenty room to have some extensive mid life upgrade or MLU like the re installation of the latest AESA radar, the mounting of a targeting pods and some other necessary modification, it was already proven to the Ukrainian Mig-29 which was been mounted and armed by the western made weaponry system, such as highly sophisticated AGM-88 high speed anti radiation missile or better known as HARM.
